The TRANSMIT prototype is a collection of demonstrator tools and services for GNSS users in industry and science. As the culmination of doctoral research projects across leading European institutions, the prototype showcases the potential of European research in solving problems in GNSS applications and scientific studies caused by ionospheric propagation.
The prototype addresses key areas of current industrial requirements, including the improvement of ionospheric models and imaging techniques, mitigation of scintillation effects on positioning solutions, and robust GNNS receiver design.
Interactive examples showcase the research concepts, and support TRANSMIT’s vision of a collective suite of services and tools for the European GNSS and space weather communities. With its foundations in research and industrial partnerships, the prototype is a solid framework for establishing a Pan-European network for Ionospheric Perturbation Detection and Monitoring (IPDM).
